GOOD, CLEAN FUN!!!

Lisa was the hostess of a PINKY PARTY at her house....which, I must say, was quite a daring move on her part!

The drive from work to Lisa's house took us through the busy streets of city neighborhoods, the winding road of Memory Grove (which is situated on the foothills of Salt Lake), past the Utah State Capitol building, to Highway 89, into North Salt Lake, right past Les Schwab Tire (where the motto is: At Les Schwab, we know how valuable YOUR time is. That's why when you drive in to a Les Schwab Tire Center, we come running. Les Schwab, the place where they say, "You are the reason."), past Dick's Market (which was the first grocery store in Utah to have an in-store bank)....hmmmm, who would have thunk!?!

The drive towards Lisa's house was relaxing...almost "heavenly". The views were gorgeous, there was rain, snow, sunshine....and my prayers were answered when I didn't stall my truck on one of the huge hills and/or roll back into Becky's truck which was right behind me!

I didn't realize that Lisa lives a stone's throw away from the Bountiful Temple.

I don't travel to Bountiful often and I'm not LDS so this was the first time I had seen the temple. It is SO beautiful! Lisa is the perfect person to live so close to something that spectacular because I know that even though she sees it every single day she doesn't lose appreciation for just how magnificent it is.

The view and the sunset out of the kitchen window.

I caught reflection from the window, but you get the idea....WOW!

Lisa went all out for us. She served HOMEMADE chicken salad on croissants, potato salad, veggie pizza, chips with salsa, and freshly dipped chocolate covered strawberries.

Lisa and Becky taught Kris and I how to crochet.

Kris was a natural and it didn't take her long to get the hang of it.

Me on the other hand....uhhh let's just say....I now know the basics and I'll continue to practice and one day I might just be able to make a potholder out of this:

If you're thinking to yourself...HEY! Dena's just being critical because that doesn't look half bad....I would have to confess that the half that doesn't look half bad would be BECKY'S HALF...and the other half that looks bad is MINE.

Lisa made these bright and cheery party favors for all of us.

And these YUMMY cookies (I know for a fact that they're yummy because I ate one in the car on the way home BEFORE I even made it onto the freeway).

Bre and Alanna didn't make it to the party because they weren't feeling well, but we all thought about them, called them, and missed them!

It was a GREAT time...a PERFECT night!!

Lisa made all of her EFFORT (which I know was A LOT of effort) appear to be totally effortless. She is the hostess that I hope to grow up and be someday.

Oh yah! Almost forgot....LOVE! your light fixture Lisa.
