We started off our year by having a New Year's PAR-TAY!!
We all hung out, ate, drank, talked and listened to some "Mexican-American Idol" karaoke contestants (also known as: Juan, Manuel, Chino, Alex and Cleotilde). The winner was definitely Manuel...he's a great singer and he's also SUPER HANDSOME (Keep in mind that I pride myself in being an UNbiased judge!).
We also had a performance from the infamous rap duo "Tony and Mac City" (also known as Anthony and McKay). T & MC's rhymes were so mesmerizing that we almost missed ringing in the new year.
We spent the next week installing wood floors. Manuel and I did all of the work ourselves (along with some help from Marcos and Alex).
It wasn't a quick or simple job, but it felt very satisfying when it was all finished.
Last weekend Anthony went to the Senior Ball with his "friend" Paige. They HAD to have been the cutest couple there (don't forget....I'm staying UNbiased!)
On Wednesday the 23rd my mom had to have knee surgery. She had arthritic changes, torn meniscus and cartilage.
She came through the procedure with flying colors. She would have done better with her recovery if she had been a good patient and stayed off of her feet. We all know that she just does whatever she wants.
