GOOD, CLEAN FUN!!!

Lisa was the hostess of a PINKY PARTY at her house....which, I must say, was quite a daring move on her part!

The drive from work to Lisa's house took us through the busy streets of city neighborhoods, the winding road of Memory Grove (which is situated on the foothills of Salt Lake), past the Utah State Capitol building, to Highway 89, into North Salt Lake, right past Les Schwab Tire (where the motto is: At Les Schwab, we know how valuable YOUR time is. That's why when you drive in to a Les Schwab Tire Center, we come running. Les Schwab, the place where they say, "You are the reason."), past Dick's Market (which was the first grocery store in Utah to have an in-store bank)....hmmmm, who would have thunk!?!

The drive towards Lisa's house was relaxing...almost "heavenly". The views were gorgeous, there was rain, snow, sunshine....and my prayers were answered when I didn't stall my truck on one of the huge hills and/or roll back into Becky's truck which was right behind me!

I didn't realize that Lisa lives a stone's throw away from the Bountiful Temple.

I don't travel to Bountiful often and I'm not LDS so this was the first time I had seen the temple. It is SO beautiful! Lisa is the perfect person to live so close to something that spectacular because I know that even though she sees it every single day she doesn't lose appreciation for just how magnificent it is.

The view and the sunset out of the kitchen window.

I caught reflection from the window, but you get the idea....WOW!

Lisa went all out for us. She served HOMEMADE chicken salad on croissants, potato salad, veggie pizza, chips with salsa, and freshly dipped chocolate covered strawberries.

Lisa and Becky taught Kris and I how to crochet.

Kris was a natural and it didn't take her long to get the hang of it.

Me on the other hand....uhhh let's just say....I now know the basics and I'll continue to practice and one day I might just be able to make a potholder out of this:

If you're thinking to yourself...HEY! Dena's just being critical because that doesn't look half bad....I would have to confess that the half that doesn't look half bad would be BECKY'S HALF...and the other half that looks bad is MINE.

Lisa made these bright and cheery party favors for all of us.

And these YUMMY cookies (I know for a fact that they're yummy because I ate one in the car on the way home BEFORE I even made it onto the freeway).

Bre and Alanna didn't make it to the party because they weren't feeling well, but we all thought about them, called them, and missed them!

It was a GREAT time...a PERFECT night!!

Lisa made all of her EFFORT (which I know was A LOT of effort) appear to be totally effortless. She is the hostess that I hope to grow up and be someday.

Oh yah! Almost forgot....LOVE! your light fixture Lisa.

A game of TAG!!

Thanks to Deanna for tagging me! Hopefully all that play will have fun!!!

RULES:
A. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
B. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people, posts their name; then goes to their blog and/or MySpace, leaves them a comment letting them know they have been tagged and invites them to read your blog.

Here we go!......

1. Growing up I was a HUGE Michael Jackson fan. (Yep! I even had ONE, WHITE glove AND a RED "THRILLER" shirt with gold buttons in my collection of MJ stuff.)

2. When I was about 20 years old I needed to get a copy of my birth certificate and discovered that I had never been legally named, so I got to "name" myself....I opted for DENA LEANN, which is the name that my parents had given me at birth. Much safer than my other choices since I'm not really sure I look like a SHAWNIKWA LAQWEESHA! :-)

3. My oldest son (Anthony) and my youngest son (Alex) are both born on August 20th....8 years apart.

4. I have a BAD habit of NEVER arriving early, LUCKY to arrive on time, and will MOST LIKELY always arrive AT LEAST 5 minutes LATE to appointments....no matter how hard I try!!!

5. I love to watch the following TV shows:
- MAURY (especially when it's about "Who's your baby daddy") .
- INTERVENTION (makes me so glad that I don't have any SERIOUS addictions).
- COPS (I swear I'm Sotally Tober, Mr. Nice Polisk Oskifer! But please don't look in my trunk.)
- LOST
- GREY'S ANATOMY

6. If I was going to be executed at midnight and had to choose my last meal it would have to be from Crown Burger and would consist of the following:
DEEP FRIED chicken sandwich (plus pickles and mustard), french fries with fry sauce, extra large diet coke, chocolate shake....and a KING SIZE Snickers bar....YUM-MAY!

Tag....you're it!
Krissy, Leona, Darren, Anthony, Marcos, and Alex....have fun!!
