Just when I thought that the night couldn't get any better.....

Anthony and I were driving home after work, the plan was to meet up with Manuel, Marcos and Alex at Cafe Rio for dinner.

The sunset out of the right window was fabulous!

The mountains to the east out of the left window were gorgeous!

Right after these photos were taken my cell phone starts ringing. It's my niece Mandy and she and Shaun have a class to go to. Better than a sunset! Better than snow-capped mountains!! We get to hang out with Anna tonight!!!

Mandy and Shaun dropped Anna off with us at Cafe Rio. She ate (what appeared to be) the BEST! Kids. Quesadilla. EVER!! She entertained us all by making "pretty eyes", drinking from a straw, showing each of us her pretty little shoes, nodding her head when I asked her if her food was good, giving me her tiny little hand several times to wipe off the little greasy spots from the cheese and tortilla (almost as if she was saying, 'This is delicious, but hello!....I AM a girly-girl and don't like my hands or my clothes to get dirty!')

When we were finished eating I strapped her in to her car seat (it has been forever since I've had to do that!), started the car, and as soon as there was music Anna started to dance, clap her hands and snap her fingers! This is better than going to the movies!!

When we got home she played with the dogs, Alex read a book to her, Marcos followed her all over the bedroom while she checked out my make-up and brushes, she INGENIOUSLY ate a whole packet of fruit snacks from her diaper bag, we took some pictures (which weren't easy to take since she was moving at the speed of light pretty much THE ENTIRE TIME!). I changed her diaper, put on her cute little PJs and she drank some juice from her cup (no more bottle!).

Mandy came and picked Anna up a few hours later.

Then, Sweet Little Baby Anna....

waved goodbye

and blew kisses to everyone.

Thanks Mandy, Shaun and Anna for making our night GREAT!!

Happy Birthday to you my dear FWEND!

February 19th = Happy Birthday wishes to Krissy!

Krissy is the perfect example of what I think SUNSHINE would look like in human form.

First name: PINKY. Last name: PINKERSON.

What could be better than an evening with friends?
An evening with friends that don't mind that you have
arrived late to your own "2008 is gonna ROCK" PAR-TAY!!

We have started thinking about Christmas EARLY this year. Our plan was to draw names now so that we can start working on HOMEMADE gifts for each other.

Brenda drew Lisa's name.

Becky got Brenda's name and Lisa (that lucky duck!) got ME (I also consider myself a lucky duck!!)

Alanna will make something for Becky, Kris will make a gift for Alanna and I will make TRY to make a gift for Kris.

Kris brought us all little "drink shirts" from her recent trip to Maui.

Lisa made these great flower pens for all of us.

These cute sticky notes were compliments of Brenda.

Alanna made sure to let us know that we're EXTRA special.

Well....I have about 10 1/2 months to come up with
something BETTER than this to make for Kris.

The PRESSURE is ON!!

We all got there by accident......

My mom bought tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters last night and she invited my family to go along with her.

My boys were excited about going from the minute that she mentioned it. I was excited because:

1. My boys were excited.

2. The ticket included a FREE hotdog and soda (entertainment AND no worries about what to make for dinner...those are probably the top two things that can make my day great NO MATTER WHAT!)

It was a lot of fun!

It was such a fun night that we decided that we weren't going to let this little incident that happened near our home on the way to the Energy Solutions Arena ruin our evening (which, I may have already mentioned, included FREE hotdogs and soda!)

Thank goodness, none of us were hurt including the 16 year old driver of the truck that caused the accident and his 8 year old brother who were on their way........can you guess?............to see the Harlem Globetrotters!

Happy Birthday SEESTER!

I would like to make a birthday toast to my sister....

Could everyone stand please?

< Please raise a glass of your choice drink (it could even be a Mountain Dew which some people in my family call the "Celestial Drink") >

"Til....Here's wishing your special day involves lots of laughs, joy and fun! I hope this year is great one!"

< Everyone is free to take a sip (or a swig - if that's more appropriate for your drink) >

Party on, Wayne!

Party on, Garth!

Super Bowl Sunday....for everyone except us!

Me and reality TV starlet Kim Kardashian are like two peas in a pod! Her beau, New Orleans Saints star player Reggie Bush, won't be on the field. She said, "Since Reggie's not in the Super Bowl, there's no reason to watch."

My husband, Intermountain Slurry Seal's star operator Manuel Magallanes, won't be on the field either. So REALLY......what's the point?

And since I am on a self imposed "self-reduction" plan I want to avoid all of the yummy Super Bowl snacks at ALL COSTS.....but I do believe in supporting the Mexican farmers who export "green gold" also known as avocados.....

....for this IS the weekend of GUACAMOLE DIP!
